A Blueprint for Design
LL Engineering, a boutique engineering firm in Bayside, New York, asked us to create a website that showcased the company’s work and expertise. Louis, the President of LL Engineering, wanted the website to exude confidence and professionalism with a design that was clean and conservative, yet notably modern.
Our team was intrigued by blueprints LL Engineering provided us for inspiration. We thought what better way to show the company’s expertise than by literally showcasing LL Engineering’s elegant blueprints in the banners throughout the site. We felt that incorporating the company’s own work in the website’s design would display not only its expertise, but also show the company’s distinctive character.
Portfolio of Services and Markets
We knew that LL Engineering’s customers would range from mom and pop shops and restaurants to big hotels. With significant funds dedicated to their engineering projects, these customers needed the assurance that LL Engineering was capable of executing quality work.
Thus, we wanted to create a Portfolio section that displayed the company’s completed projects in a way that was simple and intuitive, organized by service and market, so that customers could find exactly what they were looking for. By being able to easily find similar completed projects, customers would be quickly able to trust that LL Engineering had the experience necessary to meet clients’ engineering needs.
Each project in LL Engineering’s portfolio was tagged by the service and market it represented. Once tagged correctly, the new projects would be automatically placed in the right section of LL Engineering’s Portfolio section. In this way, LL Engineering could easily update its portfolio by only focusing on updating new projects and tagging them correctly.
